Bill Mathis
One of the founders, and President of CPIC Solutions. Bill Mathis is an enthusiastic partner in our mission to unite the best expertise, best practices and best technical tools - on demand - with those Government Capital Planning and Investment Control practitioners, managers and stakeholders who need more than simple compliance. Bill has over 25 years experience in acquisition and IT program and portfolio cost, schedule, performance and risk management services and solutions. During that time he has established and managed consulting businesses and joint venture operations in Australia and the US.
Bill has expert-level knowledge in earned value management, life-cycle cost/schedule risk management, program scheduling, and portfolio results-chain and benefits realization techniques developed through service to numerous government and commercial customers worldwide. He led the team to earn the first Earned Value Management System Validation in Australia when he was supporting Australian Submarine Corporation. Following that milestone he assisted with the implementation or operation of EVM Systems at over 2 dozen organizations in Australia, Asia and Europe. He has developed numerous professional development courses and presented over 300 courses and seminars to groups from more than 15 different countries.
Bill is a regular speaker and contributor on a range of topics related to CPIC management processes and techniques at government and industry leadership forums. He was one of the Founding Members of the U.S. Federal CPIC Forum, and currently serves on the Federal CPIC Forum Board of Advisors. He is also an active advisor to the Government Accountability Office in the development and updates to the Cost Estimating and Assessment Guide (GAO-09-3SP). He holds and MBA from the University of Phoenix, and MS and BSE Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University. |
